Squeamish about needles? You may be a candidate for oral sedation. In fact, many of our patients enjoy the benefits of oral sedation. Rather than having the sedative injected into your bloodstream with a needle, oral sedation uses pills or capsules to put you in a relaxed state and is used with a local anesthetic. Since oral sedatives are normally taken the night before the appointment or half an hour before your appointment, you’ll need to have someone drive you to and from our office.
